Tony Tony Chopper is a reindeer doctor who ate the Human-Human Fruit, a Devil Fruit that allows him to transform into a human hybrid or a human. He is a member of the Straw Hat Pirates in the anime and manga series One Piece. His dream is to be a doctor who can cure any disease.
Chopper's first appearance was in Chapter 141 of the manga and Episode 83 of the anime. He was initially ostracized by both humans and reindeer due to his blue nose and Devil Fruit abilities. He was taken in and taught medicine by Doctor Hiriluk and later Doctor Kureha.
As the Straw Hat Pirates' doctor, Chopper is responsible for the crew's medical needs. He is also a skilled fighter, utilizing his various transformations to battle enemies. He is often naive and easily excited, and he sees himself as the crew's pet, despite being a valued member.
